The Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Adventure October 12, 2011
I’m having so much fun learning about and working with ASCP! Annie doesn’t spend a lot of time or money on product directions. Thankfully, there’s a boat load of wonderful tips and tutorials on the Internet. Chi-Chi Design Studio, for one, just today, introduced me to the idea of using a sprayer! Yes! Her only caution is to clean the sprayer as soon as you’re finished, because the paint dries quickly and you don’t want your sprayer to clog.
This photo is from her blog. Isn’t it darling? I’ve got a ways to go before I start painting free-hand like this!
I’ve finished my first piece that would be sweet in a child’s room.
I tweaked these frames a bit, using ASCP Graphite.
While I only have 3 of them, I really like the toile fabric I put on these chair cushions.
This coffee table got a second coat of paint on it yesterday. I need to wax and distress it next!
After a design consultation in the morning, I’ll head back to “Gipetto’s Workshop” to get more work done and then in my free time, it’s garage sale hopping this weekend. Too much fun! 🙂 Enjoy your day!
You are certainly busy! Looks like several good projects. And, good luck at the sales this weekend. 🙂
Thanks, Barbara! I’m having fun!
Watch out that chalk paint is very addictive. Your pieces look great.
Yes, Kim, I can see how that could happen!
You definitely know what you are doing with that paint!
Hold the applause! I’ve got a lot to learn! 🙂
Good for you, Barbara! This is great and I will look forward to seeing your community grow.
Hope to see you in LA at the bloggers conference.
