Retail Therapy in the Meat Packing District, NYC November 3, 2011
I found one of the most beautiful women’s boutiques today, in the Meat Packing District of Manhattan. While this area is it seems the “go-to” place for high end clothing and accessories, Charles Nolan is the most gorgeous of all. Trust me, when I say the pictures don’t do it justice!
The shop also comes with a happy/sad story, since the owner, Charles Nolan, who was a fashion guru in New York for years, finally opened his own stunning shop, but sadly died of cancer, early this year. His sister and lovely assistant run the place and make you feel very welcome. They even have some eclectic vintage pieces but the presentation is the “star of the show”! Mr. Wonderful was outside on his phone, but I would love to have had more time to have just taken it all in, without being rushed.
Let me show you around! I found a beautiful vintage broach to take home and hope I have a chance to go back sometime soon to really take my time…
This sitting area is beautiful. I love the faux fireplace, which is really just a flat screen TV! Surrounded by mirror, it’s really quite dramatic!
I’m not sure what you call this, but it’s a colorful ribbon tree! They are really into ribbon! Wait until you see the bathroom!
How’s that for drama? I hope you could see the bathroom, without a flash!
I love how they stacked the books!
I felt like I was in a wonderful candy store and hope you enjoyed the visit!
Good morning, my dear Barbara!
How are you doing today? Wow! This place seems to be a wonderful place to shop! I could spend hours there!
Have a blessed weekend.
