Back in the U.S.A.! September 20, 2024
Hello, gorgeous!
Our week in Paris, with my daughter, Betsy, wife, Landi and her mom Marcella, was a dream trip, I’ll always remember. Counting my blessings!
I’m now on the last leg of my trip, staying with my son, Andrew and grandson, James, until tomorrow, when I’ll head home.
My heart goes out to my son, as he navigates joint custody and parenting of 20-month old, James. Last night, James, who has another double ear infection, woke during the night and couldn’t be consoled. He’ll be getting tubes in his ears, which will hopefully help, in the future. In the mean time, my son longs for a good nights sleep. I went through a similar scenario, when my kids were babies and all I can do is pray that things will get easier.
After bath time.

Paris time…
I’m hoping to create picture books, as Christmas gifts, for my traveling companions. Landi and Marcella had never been to Paris and we saw and did tons!
Market day, was on of my favorites, of course! Trip Advisor is a great reference, when traveling and how we found this market.
Of course, transporting any treasures home is always a challenge! We were lucky to close our suitcases! Not an easy task!
I love sitting outdoors at the cafes!
A little cheese with your ham?
We made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower, for a glass of champagne. 🙂
The Palace of Versailles was just crazy, over-the-top! Tons of people, too.
Our “excuse” for this adventure, was to celebrate my upcoming 70th birthday!
The girls treated me to a wonderful celebration, all the way!
Back at the shop…
I’m looking forward to returning to life at home, with Mr.Wonderful, Micah and my Shop Sisters…and of course, you!.
Word is that we’ve got lots of new arrivals, in my absence and I can’t wait to check it all out!
Thanks for being here! Your support keeps our doors open and we are so thankful!
Mark your calendars for our 12th Anniversary Party on October 12th! Saturday, from 11-5!
Its going to be great fun, so stand by for all the details!
XO,
Barbara
Hi Barb, what an amazing post of all your travels with family. As I’m headed out to the mountains of Colorado today for some crazy hiking it is nice to see news from across the Atlantic. From the photos and smiles you had a very blessed time. – Oh and Happy Birthday !! Your 70 and you look fabulous !!! Your grandbaby is such a doll and I pray his ear aches will subside with wise advice from knowledgable pediatricians. Thanks again for the update. – makes me want to jump on a plane just t sit in a sidewalk cafe and watch people walk by !!
Miss you,
Jeanne
Welcome back home, Barbara, and Happy 70th Birthday. What a beautiful exquisite place to celebrate. Sending thoughts and prayers to your son and grandson on this journey. May they find guidance and peace along the way.
