A Tribute to Wonder Dog

They don’t get any better, than our Wonder Dog, aka Tyler King. Kind, smart and intuitive.

But with a long list of health issues, we just had to let him go to doggy heaven, this morning.

It’s one of the hardest things in life to do. But it all comes down to quality of life and chances of recovery. Tyler was fairing poorly in both.

But he was one of the very best four legged friends, I’ve ever had the opportunity to love.

We all loved Tyler King. He leaves an empty place in our home and hearts!

Bless you, Wonder Dog!

  10. Before I was able to read your post this morning, I was loving on my dog, Chloe. I spent a few minutes talking to her and scratching her hard-to-reach spots until she settled in to her freshly fluffed dog bed. (She sits at my feet while I work from home in the cottage). That kind of unconditional love and companionship is very real.

I know your heart is fuller for the experience of knowing and loving your Wonder Dog. My condolences to you and yours.

  11. It is very hard to decide when to let a pet go. I hope you feel some relief in knowing you did the right thing. Loving a pet is like loving a child.

  15. Debbie Kick says

Oh, now I’m crying. I too loved your Tyler, from the moment I met him. He was a very sweet, gentle dog, and one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen. We will all miss him terribly, and I’m praying for the Wonderful family that you can remember millions of happy moments with your best friend during this difficult time.

  16. My neighbor and I found an abused dog yesterday. It’s so nice to see such a loved dog.

  17. I realize words offer some comfort at a time like this, but after having to put down my dogs three years apart, I found this sign to help me get through the sadness and loneliness. “Heaven Is the Place Where All the Dogs You’ve Ever Loved Come to Greet You” It helped bring to the present all the love and good times I was privileged to have had with them. Hope it helps you too.

  18. Oh Barbara, I am so sorry for your loss.

It is amazing how attached we get to our animals (my husband secretly thinks that I love my little Lhasa-poo, Tebow, more than him…), and having lost a good 4-legged friend before I can certainly share your pain.

  19. So very sorry to hear about your loss. What a beautiful dog he was. I am holding on to my own little ‘wonder dog’ and appreciating him a bit more today.

  20. Faith Hilterbrand says
