The San Francisco Decorator Showcase (and a give-away winner!) May 20, 2013
I’ve been visiting the annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase Home for a number of years.
While I really wonder about how practical the floor plan is, all I can say is “who cares?”! This home, which is on the market for somewhere around $20 million, is located in one of America’s best neighborhoods, San Francisco’s Pacific Heights and the views are incredible!
Who cares, if the kitchen is on the bottom floor and the dining room is on the second floor and the master suite is 3 floors up? I guess it’s one way to stay in shape!
Each room was beautifully finished. The designers were first-rate!
The ceiling in the living room is magnificent!
The drapes were luscious! But the light fixtures were out of this world!
Yes, that’s a bathroom, with a Swarovski crystal chandelier, hanging from the ceiling, all the way down to the floor! (Note that the shower was not enclosed. The walls were concrete and the tile floor, was one of a kind!
In another bathroom, there was a floor to ceiling, living plant wall. As a matter of fact, there were several living plant walls, that were absolutely stunning!
Did I mention the view?
Or, even the pleated wall fabric, in a half bath?
No detail got overlooked. Eye candy, to the max!
Speaking of give-aways…
I’ll be packing up Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, for Bliss at Bliss Ranch, tomorrow! She was the winner of the give-away that The Treasured Home sponsored over at The Rustic Pig. Thanks to all of you for participating! If you didn’t win, free shipping is offered indefinitely, here at The Treasured Home. I painted a mirror frame and chalk board frame on Saturday. I’ve got tons of painting projects ahead, so stay tuned!
Let me leave you with yet another beautiful shot of me, on my way to the parking garage in San Francisco today!
On a much more serious note, God bless the families that have had their lives destroyed, in Oklahoma! It’s impossible for me to truly understand what these people are going through. Bless those little children!
Wow and more wow! I just love designer and show homes. I agree, sometimes they designs are just not practical but who cares, like you said. I think the purpose is to come away with ideas and think of ways to apply them to your own home. Now I need to think of a way to apply that view to my home. 😀
Love you in plaid, you sword-carrying Mama! 🙂 xxoo
Thanks for saying “hi”! Did you come to California? I’m not a whole lot of fun these days. My work/play ratio is out of whack right now. Hope you’re feeling better! Hugs, B.
Wow…quite a house…great view! Even if it’s not very practical, it’s still fun to see…love that plant wall in the bath! 😉
Hi D! Great to hear from you! Lots of fun, but pooped out. Need some Geritol!
