What’s In Your Garage? (Painting Projects!) March 10, 2013
The rumor is, that many people use their garages for cars.
This is Mr. Wonderful’s version of a “man cave”. As long as there’s a TV to watch sports, life is good! I don’t know what I’d do without him!
After some repair work, this is going to be a beautiful piece. I love anything with curves!
You may remember how I once said that I would never strip any piece of furniture again, as long as I lived. Well, this is another reason why you should never say “never”!I love the lines of these two table bases. Bob is crafting new tops for them.
This is a true, one-of-a-kind table lamp. You just wait. It’s going to be pretty cool!
I think that the six chairs could end up with these other two dining chairs making a set of eight, once they are all refinished and painted. Anyone need eight chairs for their dining room? (Cleo?)
What do you think about these rusty grain buckets?
I was thinking that they could go on a fence, filled with flowers or greenery. There are drain holes that the water could escape from.
Last but not least, is this vanity/desk, that is begging for me to paint it!
I went to the antique fair, under the freeway today.
The highlight, was meeting a blog follower, Jenelle, who introduced herself to me! She and her friend, Diane, were there, looking for treasures, too! That was a real treat!
If any of my treasures look interesting to you, I can paint them in any color and finish your heart desires!
Have you found any treasures this weekend? Sure hope so!
It looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, Barbara! You’re one lucky lady to have a husband who’s happy to give you a hand.
Have a lovely Monday,
~ Wendi
Thanks, Wendi! It’s a great team effort!
Well, we’ve used our garages for everything over 30 years…and I am proud to say we eventually fit our cars inside! Yes, that’s a big feat. You are going to be really busy! (At least it’ll keep you out of trouble! ) Those grain bins would make great planters…when’s show and tell? 😉
I like to say that it keeps me out of Marshall’s! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Barbara! How funny to see my picture on your blog! Diane and I had a great time at the Flea Market too. I found some fabulous dishes, Diane found three tea pots, and we both found some bits and pieces for projects we are working on. Hope to run into you again soon. 🙂
I try to get there every month. It is always fun! Ill keep an eye out for you!
So a garage is for a car hmmmmm new concept…not for all the tools and projects….I think if I won the lottery I would never have a huge house but a 2 car garage and a 2 tool/projects and other junk space….you have some great finds can’t wait to see what you do with it….
The more space you have, the more junk you find. Old Chinese proverb!
Hugs,
B.
You have so many great treasures in the works…that lamp is going to be gorgeous. I hope you show the afters!
annie
Hi Annie,
You bet! I’ll share the lamp, once I find a shade that will work. Looks like I also need one of those milk glass “bowls” to set the shade on. Mo’ money! I’ll have to stop over at your place.
Take care,
Barbara
