News from the shop! June 17, 2024

Hello, princess!

What a gorgeous day!  Perfect weather for a little housekeeping, this Monday morning. I’ve just got some dibs and dabs, for you today.  Life changing, no doubt, so come along!

Let’s get to the important stuff!  A new cookie recipe!  Darlene brought them, home made, of course, for class on Saturday.  I contributed store bought (on the left.  I was shamed.  So here’s the deal…

Peanut butter-chocolate chip cookies…

Just 6 ingredients!  Darlene said this wasn’t t her favorite new cookie recipe and we all told her she was nuts…all though there are no nuts in this recipe!

Darlene doubled her recipe, knowing that I would eat 3 on Saturday.  A healthy substitute for lunch…right? Here you go…

1 C unsweetened natural chunky peanut butter

1 C sugar

1 egg

splash of vanilla

pinch of salt

as many semisweet chocolate chips as your heart desires.

No flour!  Gluten free!  See, I told you they were healthy!

Mix it all up and bake cookies at 375 for 10 minutes.

Heaven!

French Country Home, summer edition…

Have you had a chance to check out the current summer issue?  It comes to us from Normandy, France and there are no advertisements…just gorgeous photographs and articles.  This issue is one of the best!

These sun hats arrived last week and I wore one on my walk with Micah, this morning.  My esthetician keeps telling me about the harmful effects of the sun.  I told her that horse had already left the barn!  She told me that wasn’t the case and sun screen and hats are so important.  Any who, in the past, I’ve always worn a baseball cap, but those leave most of mwrinkled  face out in the sun!  Not this one!

Now, there’s a beauty for you! Au’ natural!

Saturday’s class…

I imagine many of you have taken this workshop, or are on vacation!  But, that’s no excuse!!*  We only have one dear person signed up for this workshop and if we can’t talk three more of you into signing up…it’s curtains!

Of course all supplies are included and you can use any moulds you desire!  It’s $49 and as an added bonus, I’ll make a batch of Darlene’s cookies!

So no more excuses…sign up Here!

* Total disclosure:  If you’re new to our newsletter.  I jest…a lot!

Last but not least…

While working at the shop yesterday afternoon, I played around on a workshop idea.  Tell me if you’d be interested.  It involves an 8 x 10” wooden frame, I.O.D. moulds, an art print and four different Fusion Mineral Paint colors, to create a blended appearance.  We’ll seal it with Beeswax and Aging Wax and you’d leave with another Masterpiece!  ($45)

Please shoot me a quick reply, Yah or Nay, if you could.

Until we meet again, keep smiling!

XO, Barbara
