Scout Living, new at 1215 18th St. June 8, 2011
There’s a brand new shop in midtown, packed with vintage collectables, called Scout Living!
Scout Living’s eclectic inventory is a wonderful compilation of mid-century artifacts, stocked by ten local collectors.
Erin and her husband are the store’s proprietors. They’re a sweet couple and their excitement about this new adventure is infectious.
I saw several pieces I could have loaded into the back of the SUV, right then and there, including this Dorothy Draper reproduction chest of drawers.
The zebra, right in front of it, would have been mine fore sure, had someone else not beaten me to the punch!
This turquoise tool chest on wheels would be perfect for my new craft room, to hold my jewelry making supplies, but the color just doesn’t work with my plan.
As someone who has purchased one too many things without knowing where they’ll fit into my home, I had to move on.
There’s even a little women’s boutique, with all sorts if interesting goodies to consider.
Finally, we all agreed that if we had a great big brick wall, in a midtown loft, this wonderful neon piece would be perfect!
If you haven’t been exploring midtown or downtown in a while, spend some time checking out Scout Living and all the other unique businesses you’ll find there.
Happy hunting!
