Hello, beautiful!

I’m sitting on the window seat, upstairs at our Tahoe cabin.  I’m listening to “Judy”, the movie soundtrack, sung by Renee’ Zellweger.  We saw the movie, when it was released, in the theater, years ago and I was so impressed with her acting and great singing voice!  If you haven’t seen it, I give it a thumbs up!

Up in the hills…

My sweet Mr. Wonderful was in seventh heave yesterday, as he got the boat back in the water.  Check out his sweat shirt.  It gets washed regularly, but it should be burned, but he’d never forgive me! Oh well!

It’s June 12th, and raining today! After the winter we’ve had, I can’t say I’m surprised!  On the plus side, it’s great crafting weather, so I’m having fun! A favorite mould in the recent Iron Orchid Designs Summer Collection, is the Primitive mold. I love the simplicity!  This is an 11 x 14” project, using paint, gold leaf and liming was with Fusion Mineral Paint’s Cashmere paint color. Can you give me a quick reply, if this is a workshop you’d be interested in?  Much appreciated!

Private Painting Classes…

Did you know that you can schedule a private painting class with me? I love working one on one with customers! Debra found this pediment, made of foam, of all things…but beautiful.  She didn’t care for how it had been painted, so she painted over the piece with Raw Silk and wasn’t sure what to do next, to achieve the look she wanted.  We talked about the options and decided to use Fusion’s Stain and Finishing Oil in the Driftwood shade.  Over Fusion’s paint, it’s a paint on, wipe off application and she loved the out come.

If you have a large project, you’re afraid to start, why not bring in a door, or a drawer and we’ll get you started and feeling confident.  Usually one hour will do the trick, at $50 per hour, all supplies included.
