Find Serenity on NYC’s High Line November 6, 2011

New York is the heartland of “hurry up and wait”! If you want a break from it all on your next visit to Manhattan, I highly recommend walking the High Line.

On what was for years a raised train track, is now a lovely 2 mile stretch of green grasses, trees and a well-traveled walking path, with plenty of places to stop and see the sights.

It’s probably hard to tell, but this is a very cool circulating water feature.

…and I love this sign, advertising a storage business!

And when you reach the end of the park, heading towards Battery Park, you’ll be greeted by some wonderful restaurants and shopping! What could be better than that?

Hoping you have a wonderful week!

I’ve been enjoying the tour of NY through your eyes. I’ve only visited the city once and with our children that meant all the touristy destinations. We barely scratched the surface.

Well, there’s still time, Karen! I didn’t start going on a fairly regular basis until the kids were out of the house! Plus, our daughter goes to college in N Y, so that’s an extra incentive/excuse! Once you get the landmarks behind you, you can start learning about the different neighborhoods, which we’ve really enjoyed. Thanks so much for stopping by and saying hi!!
