Big News for the New Year! December 30, 2013

Greetings!

Let me be the seven hundred and twenty fourth person to wish you a Happy New Year! Makes me feel all original!

Seriously, I hope it will be a great year for us all.  For our families, our country and the crazy world we live in.

You know, we’d have world peace, if everyone was painting furniture!
Yep, I said it, and you know it’s true!

I’ve spent the last few days, going through holiday recovery.  Almost feel like I should go to re-hab, after eating about 6 dozen of my “world famous” chocolate chip, oatmeal and coconut cookies over a two week period. Seriously!

The kids were home for Christmas this year.  Betsy and Andrew.  Not sure where Andrew’s wife, Jessica was, when this picture was taken, but the five of us had a pretty nice week together.

I don’t know about you, but after my kids leave, the house looks like a hurricane blew through.  (Guess I shouldn’t joke about natural disasters, but really.) Things are slowly returning to normal and I like normal!

Well, I had better get to my big news….right?

It’s funny how things happen.  I’ve been feeling like I’ve needed more space at the shop for a while. (That’s when I’m not feeling totally overwhelmed by the world of retail!)

Well, lo and behold, the next door tenant gave Mr. Wonderful notice that he’d be moving out, last week! So, the shop space will be doubling in the next couple of months!

When I’m not freaking out, wondering what in the hell I’m doing, I’m really quite excited!

This addition will allow me to expand the classroom/studio space and spread my wings a bit.
I’m saying my prayers, hoping I’m doing the right thing!

I have more ideas than I have time or talent for, but as they say, “fake it, til you make it”!

Hold on everyone!  We”re heading into uncharted territory, so stay tuned!
