Hello, gorgeous!
Have you taken any good road trips, this summer? Mr. Wonderful and I visited friends, at Fallen Leaf Lake, last week. It and been years since I had visited the lake and I was totally amazed by the quiet beauty.
My brother’s on what looks like an amazing road trip! This photo was taken somewhere between Idaho and Wyoming. What scenery! There are so many beautiful places in our country that I want to see!
Roadside find!
Up at Tahoe over the weekend, I was heading home, when I saw a stash of free rattan furniture. I was able to get two chairs in the back of Bob’s Burb, and when I returned for a couple more, they were gonzo!
They were faded and weathered, but after a quick sand with a mesh sanding pad and a wipe down, I applied Fusion’s Golden Pine Stain and Finishing oil. I was able to bring these two chairs back to life, in no time!
Found…
Another great find was this stash of vintage European beer glasses! I think these would make a great gift for any beer enthusiast! A six-pack of their favorite brew, would make the gift even better!
A shop re-fresh!…
I spent the day today (Monday, when the shop’s closed), consolidating our Summer Sale area (50% off!) and bring in new fall pieces. Creating new displays is one of my favorite things to do. I hope you’ll enjoy the changes!

You made me laugh this am. We were in Tahoe at our condo in Incline last week, and down the street someone had put out two rattan chairs FREE for the taking, and I really wanted them but could not fit in the car. I thought I was the only one that found these fun things – glad to hear you scored. My sister and I have a fun time looking for treasurers when we are in Tahoe. Thanks for the story – I loved it.
