I love hand made!

For so many reasons. There’s always the pride of designing your piece of art, for others to love.  For the maker, there’s a validation, when someone buys and wears something you’ve created.

I feel the same way, when someone falls in love with a piece of furniture we’ve rescued and restored.  There’s a sense that the community at large, is supporting our mission.

I love hand made, because it’s a unique piece, that only I will wear.  I’m also helping support a human being, instead of a machine.  It’s my way of giving back, to my fellow humans.

If you believe we can transfer our positive energy to a hand made piece of art, then we can wear it, or hang it on the wall, sharing and receiving the goodness.

I know that I am at my very happiest, when I am creating.  Amy is too! She’s the creator of Grace Girl Beads.

Her business was born in 2008 and it has allowed her to be a stay at home mom.  That’s another reason why I love hand made.

Let me introduce you to Amy and her family.  When my kids were this age, like Amy, I was able to grow a business from home. Mr. Wonderful hadn’t shown up yet, so it was just the three of us, finding our way.  I could have made more money, in the corporate world, but when it comes to sanity, I probably would have been a real mess.  I’m just glad circumstances gave me a chance to make the choice I did.
