Dreaming of the Paris Flea Market February 3, 2012
I hope you got here, this morning, after a restful night of sleepy dreams! Sometimes/often, I travel in my dreams. In fact, I have a wonderful time, when I dream! What a stress-free, inexpensive way to travel!
Since I last wrote about the Paris Flea Market, I’ve continued to explore the idea of visiting Paris, next spring, if not soon after. It looks like other’s have thought of this idea before me…imagine that!…because there are lots of services in place, to assist travelers with the flea market in mind.
First of all, there are a bunch of companies that take small groups to the market in Paris! Even partners of an antique shop in Texas, take shopping tours to Paris, along with shopping for their own shop there. Tough duty! Do a Google search for Paris Flea Market Tours and you’ll be greeted with a cornucopia, overflowing with options!
Of course, there’s even a company…(probably several) that hooks you up with short term apartment rentals, in Paris, called Paris Perfect. They’ll find cozy apartments, in good locations, and they even have an iPad and iPhone app, called Keys to the Fleas! It includes maps, shipping information, a market calendar, along with tips to successfully shopping the market! Amazing, huh?!
Friends, Gale and Glen visited Paris in November and stayed in a (5th floor) walk-up apartment, with a view of the Eiffel Tower, for $100 per night! As long as you can climb 5 flights of stairs, you’re in good shape! Now, there’s some motivation!
Well, dear friends, do you have your bags packed yet? Hope so! Mary Ann, from Classic, Casual Home, lived in Paris for a while and I have several other friends that can speak enough French to keep up out of too much trouble! Let’s keep the conversation going! This could/will be fun!
Happy weekend!
So I am not the only one who dreams of wonderful far away places in my sleep, huh? I am putting up a post about Paris today, how funny! I LOVE PARIS!!! We went to the flea market last day of our trip last Jan. and that was so not enough time, I need a week or two, its HUGE and theres soooo much to see. I hope to get back sooner than later and hope you get to do the same:)
You will get there…it is everything you hope it will be. Start saving your cash!
You are killing me I’ve been missing Paris!!
Hi Barbara! Just came across this blog post and had the surreal realization that you were talking about me! The highlight of my year is introducing someone who has never been to Paris before, to the Flea Markets. Paris has such an overwhelming spirit…Many of our tour participants say that they dream of it for weeks after their return. I hope you will make it there!
Warm Regards
Valarie
