Greetings, dear friend!

I’m sitting at the kitchen table this beautiful Monday afternoon and am so in love with this time of year, as I look out into the back yard!

The Iceberg roses are proudly showing off their first big bloom of the season.  I love this variety, because they are prolific bloomers and require little to no skill on my part, to grow.  That’s a win-win, for sure!

Our annual Makers Day, this past Saturday, was so fun.  We celebrated lots of creative success, along with smiling faces! We couldn’t have done it without the help of all of the dear Shop Sisters!

Today, we celebrated Cheryl’s birthday a few days early, enjoying a pedicure and lunch, together.  Sadly, Christine couldn’t join us.  🙁

Next time you see us, be sure to check out our pretty toes!  Tres chic!  The Nail Laundry, in Arden Town Center, is a great place to go for a pedicure.  Not only do they do a great pedi, but there’s room for lots of you, if you’re going as a group!

Now, where were we?

Ah yes…Demo Day! 

I started painting furniture twelve or thirteen years ago, when chalk paint first came on the scene.  I jumped right in and learned a lot from simple trial and error. Sometimes, there was more error, than trial, but I took classes and with experience, I think I’ve got it figured out!

Since the shop has been selling and teaching furniture painting classes, most of those years, I’ve learned a ton of things I wish someone had told me to avoid.  That’s why we offer Demo Day and I hope you can join us!

While not all vintage and antique furniture should be painted, it can really enhance the look and lines of an old forgotten piece of furniture.

This Saturday, from 1-2:00 p.m., I’ll walk you through each step of the furniture painting process and answer any questions you might have.  It’s a great opportunity to find out what’s involved, without any financial commitment.  If you are ready to move forward and dip your brush into some beautiful Fusion Mineral Paint, attendees will be eligible to receive 10% off any paint and supply purchases, on Saturday!
