Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Is Here! September 24, 2012

Well, the baby has arrived! The “nursery” isn’t quite ready, but that isn’t stopping me from shipping orders out!

If I’m as excited as I am, I can’t imagine how Marian, (Miss Mustard Seed) must feel!

20120924-143334.jpg Oh, dang! Isn’t this a pretty sight? I’m checking and double checking, to make sure I don’t send Boxwood out, instead of Luckett’s Green, or some such thing!

I have a few technical details to get through, or I’ll never leave the “mail room”. Nothing like a little operator error, to make me want to spend the evening with a pitcher of martinis! Time for this dog to learn some new tricks!

Thanks to everyone who has placed an order for Milk paint. If you’re still thinking about placing an order, the introductory 15% discount lasts through the end of October.

By the way, our trip to San Diego was a great success! Andrew was thrilled to have us there and loved all of the festivities Jessica had planned. So much for squeezing in six months worth of holidays, before he ships out!

As always, a million thanks for stopping by and saying hello!

So happy you enjoyed your trip to San Diego. I want to know more about the paint because I have never tried milk paint before.

Hi Ricki Jill, I think that the biggest misconception about this paint is that you need to use it on raw wood. Nope! It loves raw wood, but none of the pieces painted in the pictures in my store were done using raw wood. The question is, do you want a distressed look, or not? If not, you need to add the bonding agent, to give it more teeth. I can’t wait to have time to try out more of the colors, myself!

Andrew and Jessica look so happy in that picture! I am pleased to see that and I will be keeping Andrew in my prayers while he is out serving our country.

P.S. That milk paint looks great, perhaps you will find a place for it at my house when you do my consultation this weekend.

    Looking forward to it!

How exciting, it sounds like your’re going to be the place I go get my milk paint, I’ve always been curious about it. And I love the photo of your son, I wish I knew more. It sounds like he’s getting ready to leave. I’m having fun exploring your wonderful blog, can you tell?
